With Smart Alarm you will only be notified of suspicious activity or movement when your tracker is not able to detect your smartphone nearby. With this new feature, you won't receive any unnecessary notifications when you're in close proximity to the tracker while starting to move.
Of course your location will still be updated regularly so that you can track the location of your belongings even when your smartphone is detected.
Smart Alarm mode is only possible for anti theft alarms. Geofencing alerts and significant journey alerts are not affected by Smart Alarm and will continue to be sent even when you have the Smart Alarm option enabled.
For the feature to work properly, you will need to keep Bluetooth enabled on your Smartphone, and allow the Bluetooth authorization for Invoxia App in your smartphone settings.
Please note that sometimes your Smartphone won't be able to reconnect to the tracker fast enough and the tracker will still send a notification. This will especially be the case when the application has not been entered for a while or when it is in battery saving mode.
In order to give the necessary time for your Smartphone to reconnect when a movement is detected, the tracker allows some delay before sending the alarm. For this reason a 90 seconds delay is added when you enable Smart Alarm.
Example of how this might be useful: If you go for a ride with the Bike Tracker installed on your bike, and you have your smartphone with you, you won't receive any anti-theft alerts while riding. Then, once you've parked the bike and walked into the supermarket, your tracker will resume sending notifications in the event of movement or tilt detection.
