When you set up your tracker in the Invoxia GPS app, you select a country. This choice determines the IoT network your tracker uses (LoRa, Sigfox or Swisscom), and therefore where it works.
1. If you choose France
Your tracker is set up on the Orange LoRa network, which works only in mainland France, except Corsica.
Coverage map: Orange LoRa
Recommended if you use your tracker only in France.
2. If you choose another European Union country (except France and Switzerland)
Your tracker uses the Sigfox network, available in a large part of Europe (for example Germany, Spain, Portugal, Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland). Sigfox has limited presence in France: a tracker set up on Sigfox works less well there than on LoRa.
Coverage map: Sigfox
Recommended if you use your tracker in several European countries.
3. If you choose Switzerland
Your tracker uses the Swisscom network, for use in Switzerland only. It does not switch to Sigfox and goes offline as soon as it leaves Switzerland.
Coverage map: Swisscom
Important: only trackers bought in Switzerland (on the Swiss Invoxia website or from Swiss resellers) are set up on the Swisscom network.
Good to know
- The networks are independent of each other: your tracker does not follow you when you cross a border.
- The network choice stays the same until you set up the tracker again.
- Check the coverage of your area before setting up your tracker.
- For regular use in several countries, the GPS Tracker Pro or Pro Max (4G LTE-M) is a better fit.
Changing network
- Unregister the tracker from your account: in the Invoxia GPS app, select the tracker, tap the settings icon, open "Advanced settings", tap "Remove device" and enter your account password. Keep the tracker with you.
- Set up the tracker again and select the new country.
