The battery life of your GPS Tracker Classic mainly depends on the position frequency set in the app and on how long the tracker moves each day.
Battery life by frequency
- Standard (one position every 10 to 14 minutes): 2 to 12 weeks
- Medium (every 5 to 8 minutes): 1 to 6 weeks
- High (every 2 to 4 minutes): 3 days to 3 weeks
These are estimates for 1 to 5 hours of movement per day, with good reception. With light use, battery life can reach 4 to 6 months. The GPS Tracker Classic 2026 Edition is rated for 3 to 6 months.
At the highest frequency, about one week of battery life is normal: the tracker communicates very often. Lowering the frequency is enough to gain several weeks.
What affects battery life
- The position frequency set in the app
- How long the tracker moves each day
- Being near known Wi-Fi networks or a phone connected over Bluetooth
- The environment: places where GPS reception is poor (basement, car park, garage) use more energy
