Smart Alerts, also called Smart Alarm, has been designed to avoid unnecessary notifications.
Thanks to this feature, your tracker will not send you any movement alert or suspicious activity only when it does not detect your smartphone in Bluetooth range.
⚙️ 1. What is Smart Alarm mode used for?
When you are in Bluetooth range of your tracker with your smartphone, it is normal that there will be movement of the tracker — for example, when driving, moving your bicycle, or walking with your pet.
With Smart Alarm active, you will not receive any anti-theft alert in these situations.
However, as soon as your smartphone moves away from the tracker, anti-theft alerts automatically resume.
💡 Example :
You set off in your car with your smartphone and the tracker installed inside.
→ No alert will be sent during this journey.
You park your car and enter a shop.
→ The tracker detects that your phone is no longer in Bluetooth range and activates alerts in case of movement or change of incline.
📲 2. How does Smart Alarm work?
The mode relies on Bluetooth detection between your smartphone and your tracker.
In order for it to function correctly :
Activate Bluetooth in General Settings of your smartphone.
Male sure that your Invoxia app has Bluetooth authorized in your phone's settings.
⚠️ Sometimes, your smartphone may not reconnect to the tracker quickly enough, notably if :
the application has not been opened for a long time,
or if your smartphone is on Low Power Mode.
⏱️ 3. Why is there a delay before the alert?
When movement is detected, the tracker waits approximately 90 seconds before sending a notification.
This delay allows your tracker to reconnect with your smartphone and avoid false alerts.
💡 Good to know
Smart Alarm only applies to anti-theft alerts.
Zone alerts and significant journey alerts are not affected : they continue to be sent even when Smart Alarm is active.
