The Invoxia logo must face upwards or outwards towards the sky to ensure the connection with the network. This is because if the antenna is facing metal, the electromagnet signal used to communicate with the server will be trapped in a faraday cage.
A Faraday cage blocks electromagnetic fields, conducting the electromagnetic current around the outside and allowing none to pass through the interior.
Please note that, when kept in a pocket, the Invoxia logo must always be facing outwards. This is because the human body is made up of 70 percent water and will obstruct the signal from the antenna.
In order to test if there is an issue with the tracker or if it's just the positioning of the antenna, first, reboot the tracker by pressing the button for 10 seconds at the back of the tracker. To ensure the tracker has full battery life, please put it on charge for 90 minutes.
Here is a video that may help you successfully reboot the tracker: How to reboot my Cellular GPS Tracker?
Then:
Put your tracker in one of your pockets.
This can be any pocket, just as long as the Invoxia logo is facing outwards (away from the body.)
Turn off Bluetooth
Wear it for at least 4 hours, and you will see if the tracker is able to update its location once in motion.
If the tracker does not communicate its location after this test, there may be a different issue that needs to be resolved. Please contact our support team agents and our team will be delighted to help you!
