This article will explain why you do not receive all the points like configure. If you have any further questions about the GPS tracker we invite you to click here. If your inquiry relates to other products, we invite you to visit our Help Center.
It could occur that your tracker transmits fewer location points than configured. This can be explained by the following reasons:
If your tracker doesn't move often: the tracker will stop sending its position until it starts moving long enough time to justify a new position. This optimizes the battery life of your tracker.
If your GPS Tracker remains within range of the same Wifi network: it will send only one point every 4 hours centered on the same position. If it moves outside the area covered by that Wi-Fi, the points will be displayed again at the frequency you have chosen in the settings. This also saves battery power. A Wifi network can have a range of 70-80m in urban areas.
Depending on the network: the network may not receive the positions sent by tracker. For example, if the tracker is underground or some place that blocks transmission, or if the network coverage is insufficient near your home.
Hilly, forested or mountainous areas do not allow optimal use of the Invoxia GPS Tracker.
