It is very important to distinguish between the different types of alerts offered by your GPS Tracker Pro Max.
The anti-theft alert, or suspicious movement alert while stationary
The anti-theft alert, or "movement while stationary" alert, notifies you after a period of immobility when the tracker is tilted or shaken, in order to alert you to any suspicious movement that could be a sign of theft or vandalism. It is particularly suited to vehicles. For this alert to work, your GPS Tracker Pro Max must have been stationary for more than 5 minutes.
Use case: the alert also works if your parked motorcycle accidentally falls over, which can damage the engine. By enabling the smart alarm option, you ensure that you only receive anti-theft alerts when your vehicle is moving and your Bluetooth connection is out of range, in order to filter out unnecessary notifications.
Zone entry and exit alerts
This is a geofencing alert based on customizable virtual zones. It is triggered when the tracker leaves or enters a zone you have predefined in the Invoxia app. Use this alert to be notified if your vehicle is stolen from your home, for example, or to reassure yourself when your children arrive at school or home after the day.
The "significant movement" alert
This is a movement alert that is triggered when your vehicle or item has remained stationary for at least 5 minutes and a new location is detected because the tracker has changed position.
Example: your vehicle stayed at your home for 4 hours. A trip is logged following a location reading 600 meters from your home. You then receive a "significant movement" alert.
